Infopulse Compliance Committee's decision regarding a recent incident on a social network
The other day, an incident took place in the public sphere, which attracted the attention of the IT community and gained a huge resonance. The company's specialist entered a discussion in social networks and expressed controversial opinions regarding russia's war against Ukraine.
A Compliance Case was initiated regarding this incident to conduct a thorough analysis of the texts and wordings published by the specialist. Based on the results of the analysis, the Committee has concluded that the specialist’s comments had signs of discrimination on the basis of nationality in the form of insulting and derogatory statements against the Ukrainian nation, which is a severe violation of the company's Code of corporate conduct.
Based on the conducted investigation, the Committee has made a decision to terminate cooperation with the specialist.
We would like to stress that Infopulse LLC as well as its mother company Tietoevry have zero tolerance for any unethical behaviour or misconduct in their activities and require all specialists to comply with the current legislation of Ukraine and the principles set forth in the company's ethical guidelines – Code of Conduct, which every specialist gets acquainted with and undertakes to adhere to its principles when starting cooperation with the company.
At Infopulse, we do not allow violations of the Code of Conduct and take seriously any non-compliance with it and breach of rules related to it. In case of violation of the Code of corporate conduct, the company has the right to initiate an investigation and take measures in accordance with the severity of the consequences that resulted from the committed violation.
